September 9, 2018
Following last years success, Janice has been invited back to present her artwork at the Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit!
The eighth annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit on the campus of Pingree School will run from September 3 to November 5, 2017. The show is free and will be open to the public seven days a week during daylight hours, with a full color catalog and smartphone app available for self-guided tours. The free app for smartphones will give visitors a map with details about the location of sculptures, the artists, and the pieces.
The opening reception with the artists is scheduled for Sunday, September 10 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the school library. Lillian Hsu, Director of Public Art at Cambridge Arts, is the Honorary Chair this year and will speak at the reception.
The exhibit has now become one of the largest in New England, with at least 50 pieces by 47 established and emerging East Coast artists displayed on the beautiful 100-acre campus. The exhibit is one of the largest outdoor sculpture shows in New England and includes the work of artists whose work is in museums, galleries, and collections throughout the country. Pingree is the only school in the US to host such an expansive outdoor exhibit of sculpture.
Pingree School is located at 537 Highland Street, South Hamilton, MA. For more information, call 978-468-4415, email [email protected], or go to www.pingree.org.
